EV Infrastructure Master Plan Overview
Lassen County is one of California's largest and most sparsely populated counties, with communities spread across vast distances, challenging winters, and limited public charging infrastructure. As Electric Vehicle (EV) adoption grows and travelers use key corridors such as U.S. 395 and State Routes 36, 44, and 139, reliable charging will be increasingly important for residents and travelers.
Therefore, the Lassen County Transportation Commission is beginning development of an EV Infrastructure Master Plan – which will provide a clear roadmap to identifying priority EV locations, appropriate charger types, implementation partners, and practical funding and deployment strategies across Lassen County.
Engagement Opportunities & Timing
Early opportunities to learn more, get involved, and provide your input will take place in late summer and fall 2026, as well as opportunities to comment on the draft plan in early 2027. Public input will be sought via a community survey and two public workshops. More information regarding these opportunities will be posted here shortly!
The final plan is expected is anticipated to be completed by fall 2027.
